Native Women w/Prayer Bowl Signed & Dated Hand Sculpted Clay Original
This 6" x 4" x 4" Sculpture is an original by Sedona Artist Jack Black. "Sculpting from raw clay, a mold is made of the piece after which stoneware "slip" is cast into the mold, removed, and allowed to sit for several days. It is then cleaned and the detailing of the sculpture is redefined. It is then fired at 1,900 degrees. After firing, it is sanded, cleaned again, and three coats of high fire glaze are applied by hand and refired at 2,200 degrees.
